Albert Lee “Al” Miller, 86, Rockville, passed away on Tuesday evening, Aug. 9, 2016. Al was born on Nov. 7, 1929, at Roscoe the son of Anthony Anderson and Grace Gertrude (Bishop) Miller.
Al moved to Kansas City at a young age. He worked as a laborer at Sheffield Steel and National Plastics.
Al married Minniebell Rose Passig on Sept. 20, 1963. They moved to Rockville in 1971. Al worked at Ellett Memorial Hospital until his retirement at age 65.
Al’s beloved wife Minnie followed him in death on Aug. 10, 2016. Preceding Al in death were his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his daughter, Janice Miller, of Kansas City; two sons, Ron Miller and wife, Terri – Belton and Rick Miller of the home; his grandchildren and step-grandchildren – Joseph, Cory, Dustin, Stacy and Cody Miller and Ryan Rosario and Wesley Storey; and two great-grandchildren, Mia and Austyn.
Services were held Saturday, Aug. 13, in Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Interment followed in Love Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Ron Miller, Rick Miller, Joseph Miller, Cory Miller, Dustin Miller and Cody Miller.
Memorial donations may be made to Love Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
