Minniebell Rose (Passig) Miller, 84, Rockville, passed away Wednesday evening, Aug. 10, 2016. Minnie was born on Aug. 30, 1931, at Libby, MT, to Augustus (Gus) Elmer and Gladys Ellia Maxine (Irwin) Passig. They moved to Marceline when Minnie was a child.
Minnie moved to Kansas City as a young woman. She worked for a time at Hallmark Cards before working at National Plastics where she met Albert Miller. The two were married on Sept. 20, 1963.
They moved to Rockville in 1971 and Minnie went to work for Motts Meat Packing. Later she became a nurse’s aide and retired from the State Hospital in Nevada.
Preceding Minnie in death was her beloved husband, Al, just one day earlier; her parents; two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her two sons, Rick Miller, of the home and Ron Miller and wife Terri – Belton; her step-daughter, Janice Miller, of Kansas City; grandchildren – Joseph, Cory, Dustin, Stacy and Cody Miller; step-grandchildren, Ryan Rosario and Wesley Storey; and two great-grandchildren, Mia and Austyn.
Services were held Saturday, Aug. 13, in Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Interment followed in Love Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ron Miller, Rick Miller, Joseph Miller, Cory Miller, Dustin Miller and Cody Miller.
Memorial donations may be made to Love Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
