Cora Elaine Pyle, 75, El Dorado Springs, passed away on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, following an illness.

Elaine was born on Feb. 28, 1949, in Cedar County, MO. She attended Vatterott College and graduated with a degree in Accounting and Finance. She worked at JH Collectibles for many years and the Book Store at Cottey College for many years. She was a member of the Eagles in El Dorado Springs. Her hobbies included raising cattle, baking cakes and sewing.

Elaine is survived by her mother, Nellie Hamby of Ellinwood, KS; five siblings: Donna Crow, Terry Hamby, Hazelene Clayton, Kathlene Cox and husband, Howard Cox, and Billy Hamby; two children, Melissa Heidemann and her husband, Kevin, of Nevada, and Brian Pyle and his wife, Stefani, of Webb City; five grandchildren: Bailey Hoffman, Anthony Hoffman, Derrick Hoffman, Jordan Pyle and Tucker Pyle; and sister in law, Sandy Hamby.

She was preceded in death by father, Ray Thomas Campbell; son, Thomas Pyle; and six siblings: Dorothy Alumbaugh, Raylene Keith, Barbara Carson, Linda Stevens, Dale Hamby and James Hamby.

Services will begin at 6 p.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home Thursday, Dec. 19. Brent Bland will officiate. Interment will be in Alder Cemetery at a later date.

The visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home on Thursday evening.
