David Andrew Edmiston

David Andrew Edmiston, 67, El Dorado Springs, passed away on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, in Harrisonville. David was born Feb. 5, 1955. at USNH Portsmouth, VA, to Nelson “Gene” and Margaret Edmiston.

David graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1971. He worked at the Nevada State Hospital from 1976-1994. After leaving the State Hospital he worked at various health care facilities in the area, most current being Grand River Residential Services where he was employed at the time of his passing. David served for over 30 years in the Missouri Army National Guard and also served a few years in the United States Naval Reserves.

Survivors include one daughter, Amber Bogart (Bo); granddaughters, Leah Martin (Kaleb), Madyson, Kynlee and Jolie Bogart; grandsons, Matthew, Mason, Avery, Shon, Aiden and Bohdi Bogart – Sheldon; brothers, Derek Edmiston, Dennis Edmiston (Sharon), Damon Edmiston (Sandy) – El Dorado Springs; sister, Donna Fisk (Danny) – El Dorado Springs, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Diane Hines.

Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in El Dorado Springs under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. A dinner will follow at Community Church in El Dorado Springs
