Deanna Poore

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deanna Poore, 72, on May 23, 2023, in El Dorado Springs. She was born June 19, 1950, in Avondale, WV, to James Noah Hughes and Arminda Jane Addair.

Deana’s humorous and caring personality will remain in everyone’s hearts. She was a generous and loving person who was fond of spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. Gardening, flipping antique furniture and interior decorating were among Deanna’s favorite pastimes.

Deanna’s passing is a great loss to all who knew her, but her memory will be cherished forever. She touched many lives with her kindness, warmth and humor. We will miss her dearly, but we know that she is in a better place now, watching over us all with love.

Deanna is preceded in death by her father, James, and siblings, Delphine Lemley, Donitta Turner and Jim Hughes.

Survivors include her husband, Payton Poore; mother, Arminda Jane Addair; children, Jeffrey Darcy Hughes and Terry Mechelle Johnson; stepchildren, Tyler Peyton Poore and Cary Janessa Poore; grandchildren, Brea Nichelle Hughes, Kylie Renee Hughes, Colin Bradley Johnson and Colby Michael Johnson; siblings, Johnny, Jerry and Debbie Hughes and Denise Kolz.

Services were Sunday, May 28, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Interment was in the El Dorado City Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to help the family with expenses and left at the funeral home.
