Edward “Eddie” Cargill, 78, Walker, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Medical Lodge Nursing Home, Nevada,. He was born April 16, 1945 in Nevada to Robert Cargill and Hazel N. (Brundridge) Cargill.

Eddie was raised in Nevada where he graduated high school in 1963. He worked in construction for 20+ years and the trucking industry before retiring after 20 years of employment with the U.S. Postal Service.

Eddie was a member of the Walker Christian Church, the Construction Industry Laborers Union and an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, deer hunting, collecting guns, riding his motorcycle and playing pool. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandsons.

Eddie is survived by his children, Bill (Reagan) Burns, Magnolia, TX, Angie (Chuck) Johnson, Ozark, MO; grandsons, Jorden Johnson, Nevada, Ryan Johnson, Springfield, Chayson Johnson, Ozark, MO; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Eddie was preceded in death by his son, David; parents; siblings, Robert Cargill Jr., Bobbie Miller, Norma Short and Maxine Polk.

A graveside committal service was held Saturday, March 23, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dederick. Visitation was Friday, March 22, at Ferry Funeral Home, 301 South Washington, Nevada.
