Eva Carolyn Spohn 82, Radcliff, KY, went to her Heavenly Home Sunday, Aug. 7. She was born June 3, 1940, to Ernest and Naomi Blystone in El Dorado Springs.
Eva grew up in El Dorado Springs and graduated from the El Dorado Springs R2 schools. She attended services when she was able at the Church of God (Holiness). She would always talk of her love for God in just about all her conversations. She worked for ACS (wives of military men) while her husband was in the military.
Eva loved to walk everywhere and visit with people as she went. She often took the OATS Bus to Springfield and would buy ice cream for anyone who went with her at Braums. Eva loved arts and crafts and working with plastic canvas and yarn. You could find her watching Westerns on TV and Western movies. She wore her Cowboy hats about as much as she watched Westerns. Her favorite TV program was “Little House on the Prairie.”
Preceding Eva in death were her parents, Ernest and Naomi Blystone – El Dorado Springs; sister, Martha Bishop; brother, Larry Blystone and brother, Cecil Blystone.
Survivors include daughter, Crystal Spohn, three sons, Craig Spohn (Rose) – El Dorado Springs, Leslie Spohn – Kentucky, and Allen Spohn (Debbie), Kentucky; sister, Mary Zartman – El Dorado Springs and four grandchildren.
Services for Eva Spohn will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs with burial in Coal Hill Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Friday evening, Aug. 12, at the funeral home.
