Evelyn Fay Cary, 86, was born on May 11, 1930, to Richard and Susie Gilbert. She passed away on Nov. 17, 2016, at Community Springs Healthcare Center in El Dorado Springs.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald Gilbert; and husband, William Cary.
Evelyn worked and retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers. She loved to travel, quilt, garden and fish.
She is survived by her sister, Wanita, and Mick Morrow; five step-children, Carleen and Jerry Brackenridge, Carlos and Sandy Cary, Bill and Brenda Cary, Cheryl and Billy Mann and Cindy Fox; and nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Contributions can be to the Iconium Fire Dept. in Iconium, in care of Sheldon Funeral Home.
Gravesude services were held Monday, Nov 21, in Iconium Cemetery with Pastor Chad Bailey officiating.
