Corinna Jane Dean, 90, El Dorado Springs, passed away at her home on Nov. 18, 2019, after a battle with Alzheimer’s.  Jane was born on Jan. 3, 1929, in Bowlegs, OK, the daughter of Roy and Hazel (Welsh) Boswell. She was raised in the Humansville/Collins area, and graduated from Humansville H.S.

Jane married Charles Edward Dean of Humansville on March 25, 1947.  They were married 68 years before Charles’s passing in 2015.  To their union, four children were born.

They lived their entire married life on a farm in St. Clair County, east of El Dorado Springs.  Jane moved to El Dorado Springs to be close to her son, Donald, after the passing of Charles. Jane truly loved her life on the farm and the family she helped raise.  She was a very hard worker, loved cooking for her family and was great at it, and was always there to help her family and friends.

Jane never missed listening or watching her beloved Kansas City Royals. It didn’t matter if they were winning or losing. If they were playing when she was bowling you would see a transistor radio in her hands.   She bowled and had a great time doing so until she was 85 years old, when a stroke kept her from continuing.  Jane enjoyed making quilts until her arthritis kept her from doing so. She also enjoyed planting a garden in the springtime and taking care of their cows.

Preceding Jane in death were her husband, Charles; her parents; two sisters, Carolyn and Irene; and brother, Grover.

Survivors include her four children:  Larry Dean and wife, Jackie, of Springfield;  Vicky Standart and husband, Ron, of Kansas City;  Donald Dean and wife, Marlene, of El Dorado Springs; and Kathy Brandon and husband, Bob, of Moberly; grandchildren:  Jason Dean and wife, Wayna, of Battlefield; Jackie Lee Dean and wife, Heather, of Nixa; Brian Dean, of Rowlett, TX; Audrey and Lydia Brandon of Moberly; and great-grandchildren:  Eli, Evelyn, Ethan and Emily Dean of Nixa.  Jane is also survived by a special nephew Roy Douglas Boswell, of El Dorado Springs.

Services were held on Thursday, Nov. 21, at at Bland-Hackleman Chapel with Craig Johnson officiating.  Burial followed in Freeman/Holsapple Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were: Brian Dean, Jason Dean, Jackie Lee Dean, Rick Samsel, Delbert Ashlock and Steven Boswell.  Honorary pallbearers were: Joe Norval, Roy Boswell, Ron Standart, and Bob Brandon.
