Jonathan Aaron Hall

On Feb. 12, 2020. Jonathan Aaron Hall retired from his full time occupation of, as he once said, “staying alive.” He worked hard at this for many of his 33 years. His job became more challenging at the age of 19 when he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He is now enjoying his permanent vacation home on the streets of Heaven with his Lord and Savior. He was born Dec. 19, 1986.

Jon enjoyed sports in many ways. He played basketball in high school with a team that placed second at state in 2005 at the MCSAA having only five total players. One of the highlights of his basketball senior year was he scored 30 points in one game. He also enjoyed fishing, Xbox games, playing racquetball, table tennis, and pickleball with his friends and family.  He was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and a huge fan of the St. Louis Blues hockey team and was excited to see his team win the Stanley Cup.

Jonathan was well known for his giving heart. He volunteered when he could at the Ronald McDonald House in Joplin helping prepare meals. He enjoyed cooking for others and had a great sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. He earned a degree of Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at the Missouri Southern State University in 2013.

Jonathan is survived by his father and mother, Warren and Linda Hall, of El Dorado Springs; his three sisters – Heather Hall of Nevada, Kimberly Hall of Monett, and Sarah Hall of Webb City.

Services were held Monday, Feb. 17, in Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, with Rev. Jerald Bass officiating.

Music was  “Draw Me Ever Nearer,” “Through All Of It” and “Come To Jesus.”

Casketbearers were Nathan Jester, Damon Hall, Blake Brooks, Darrin Ragsdale, James Bratton and Tyler Borders.

Interment was in Dutch Hill Chapel Cemetery, Lynchburg.
