John Dee Friar

John Dee Friar, 60, El Dorado Springs, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, Feb. 9, 2020.  He was born July 23, 1959, in Nevada, the son of Joseph Ray Friar and Arvella Jean (Ellerman) Friar.

John graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1977.  He worked for the utility department of the city of El Dorado Springs in his younger years and then as an electrician for various companies for several years, until he had to quit due to declining health.

Preceding John in death were his parents, Joe and Jean Friar, of El Dorado Springs; and one brother, Larry Roberts, of Schell City.

Survivors include two brothers, Dan Friar, of Nevada, and David Friar and wife, Janet, of El Dorado Springs; one sister, Pat Langford and husband, Warren, of Stockton; sister-in-law, Jeanette Roberts, Schell City; several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial visitation for John Friar was held Saturday, Feb. 15, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs. The burial of his cremains next to his parents followed at a later date.
