We are at peace knowing that Mandi Lynn took her dad into her arms as the angels welcomed him into Heaven.

Larry Dennis Eslinger was healed from this earth on Aug. 26, 2021. He was born Jan. 27, 1946, in El Dorado Springs, in a house on High Street, to Marvin and Belva. Larry was saved at a young age at Pacetown Church and is remembered to have said he “could have sung all night!”

Larry attended school in El Dorado Springs, with a few years spent in Montana as a child. It was while attending High School in El Dorado Springs that Larry met the love of his life, Kristi Kayle Harvey. She would watch for him out the old 7th grade windows as he walked to the Ag building. He would always look up and wave at her. And that is how their story began. They would have been married 54 years Nov. 17. They added to their story with the birth of Shannon and again when Mandi arrived.

Larry was always a hard worker and did many things to keep busy when he was not at his regular job at Dairy Concepts, where he worked for 35 years. His favorite hobby was mowing, and he could still be found on the mower in November mulching leaves. He loved his trips to Colorado to fish; taking his grandkids a few times so they could experience it, too. He was still telling Colorado stories at the end. We have so many memorable times to look back on for which we will forever be grateful.

Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Mandi, parents and stepparents, an infant sister, and his in-laws.

Left to share his story include his wife, Kristi; daughter, Shannon (Rick); grandchildren: Korissa (Kaolin), Kamber (Ron), Jonathan (Jessica) and Brant; great-grandchildren: Jaxsyn, Lacyn, Reed and Riggin; brother-in law, Elwood Dean (Kay); sister-in-law, Kandy (Jim); brother, Rick (Susie); half sisters, Shirley and Lorna; half-brother, Marvie; nieces; nephews; and so many others who loved him dearly.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, Aug. 31, at the Clintonville Cemetery in El Dorado Springs with Rev. Brent Bland officiating under the direction of Bland Hackleman Funeral Home.
