Lourie Kay Bullington (Sprinkle), 64, passed away Nov. 28, 2022, at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, surrounded by her family. Lourie was born June 14, 1958, at the North Kansas City Hospital, Kansas City. She was the first of four children born to Jewell (Julie) L. Hutsell (Brown) and Junior (Lee) L. Sprinkle.

Lourie grew up in El Dorado Springs, and surrounding area and helped her mom with her younger siblings until she had her own children. Lourie worked at many different jobs during her life to support her children and she was strong as an ox in her younger days. Lourie was often the life of the party and enjoyed listening to music, singing and dancing. She shared many good times with her family and friends. She was a life-long KC Chiefs fan and did a lot of hollering at the TV when they played. In recent years, Lourie moved to Springfield to be closer to her siblings and her healthcare providers. She made several good friends at her apartment complex, and they were of great comfort to her towards the end of her life. Lourie loved her children and grandkids and was always happiest when they were around. Each brought her great joy and she was very proud of them all. Lourie has a large family and lots of friends she stayed in contact with who all loved her and are deeply saddened by her passing. She will forever be remembered for her free spirit and rock ā€˜nā€™ roll soul. She was one of a kind.

Lourie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Chester E. (Gene) Brown and Golda M. (Goldie) Brown (Green); mother, Julie, and father, Lee; son, Keith J. McMannis, and her husband, Fred E. Bullington.

Lourie is survived by her children, Travis L. Smith and Tammy, Joseph G. McMannis and Madison and Amanda G. Holman and Monte all of El Dorado Springs. She is also survived by her siblings, Steven L. Sprinkle and Teresa of Lake Ozark, Bradley D. Sprinkle, Sheryl A. Reed (Sprinkle) and Danny, Kent A. (Dink) Hutsell and Angela K. (Angie) Hutsell and Carey, all of Springfield. Her surviving grandchildren include Wade G. Smith, Rileigh M. Smith, Lane T. Smith, Skylynn K. Gibbs, Gabe Vorhies, Aly A. McLaurin, Mia R. McMannis, Amiah (Angel) McMannis, Addison L. Ketterman and Weston U.K. Warren.

Lourie requested to be cremated therefore there will be no services at this time. The family does plan to have a Celebration of Life at a later time.
