Mikel Ray Guajardo, 35, was called home unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022 in Crestview, FL, where he was working with his dad, Craig. Mikel was born April 8, 1987 in Kennewick, WA, to Shellie Conway (Fritts) and Craig Conway of Eldorado Springs. Mikel was an infant when his family moved back to El Dorado Springs where he grew up. Following high school, Mikel worked on the road with his dad traveling all over the US. Coming home meant time with family and Mikel truly loved his family. He was immensely proud of being an Uncle and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Mikel’s free spirit was impossible to contain. He was a larger than life prankster who loved God and his momma above all else. He enjoyed throwing knives, shooting guns, playing pool and working on trucks. He often chose to hitchhike because he wanted to meet new people and hear their story. He didn’t need a lot in life and would give his last dollar to make someone smile. Mikel loved to find rocks and stones in the shape of a heart because he felt they were a message from God. He was a big guy with a big heart and a lot of love to give. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, Mikel is survived by one brother, Jared Guajardo – Nevada, and his children, Toby, Brody and Carli; one sister, Carina Guajardo (Donnie Hampton), Ft. Scott, KS, and their children, Kynlee, Kyndal and Knoxlee; grandmother, Pam Frimodt, Washington state.

He was preceeded in death by his grandmother, Norma Carol Lyons.

Services for Mikel were at 2 p.m. Monday Nov, 21, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Burial at a family cemetery.
