Norma Sue Henson, 79 of El Dorado Springs, passed away at home on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, surrounded by her family.

The daughter of Louis William and Florence (Conner) Kingcade was born in Snoqualmie Falls, WA, on March 2, 1942.

Norma cared deeply about her family, never failing to put their needs above her own. She was an avid gardener able to nurture any plant into a gorgeous bloom. She took pride in the living artwork her garden created. Norma was able to create beautiful quilts, a painstaking labor of love. Her love for her family, pets, and even strangers was never doubted. Norma was a safe place and endless provider of love and acceptance for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Cheryl Lynn Henson; brother, Jack Kingcade; and two sisters, Nina Norman, and Betty Culbertson.

Norma is survived by her husband of 64 1⁄2 years, Joe Henson; son, Dan Henson; daughters, Lisa Crom, and husband, Dave, Janelle Goodwin Smith, Shelly Thomason and spouse, Doug Nikodim; brother, Jim (Cathy) Kingcade; two sisters, Bonnie (Bill) Harms, and Joy Martin; brother-in-law, Monte Norman; eight grandchildren: Mitch Todd, Tony Todd, Danny Henson, Michael Thomason, Jessie Dyal, Randall Floyd, Kylie Goodwin, and Anthony Henson; six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of extended relatives and friend.
