Patricia (Pati) Ann Wallace, 61, passed away at her home in El Dorado Springs on Sept. 19, 2016.

Pati was born on May 27, 1955, in Tuscaloosa, AL, to Hugh and Willa Wallace. She moved to Kansas City in 1960 and graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City in 1972.

She married Lynn Sheek in 1972 and during their 11 years of marriage, they bore three sons.

She moved to Lathrop, MO, in 1986  and became an active member of the United Methodist Church. She loved Lathrop and lived there for nearly 20 years. She lived in Cameron from 2001 to 2004 and returned to Lathrop for a few years prior to moving to Kansas City in 2008. She worked at Kansas City International Airport for a number of years before moving to El Dorado Springs in 2013.

Pati was an avid church attendee. She had a love of games, particularly bridge, which she enjoyed playing weekly.

Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She was a patient and loving person, and she rarely complained, even if she was in pain. Her favorite quote was from Bob Carter: “Poor planning on your part does not necessitate an emergency on mine.”

Pati is survived by her three sons – Mikel Sheek (Pam) – Lathrop, Justin Sheek and Phillip Sheek – Kansas City; her sisters – Lorna Ford – El Dorado Springs, Cathy Finch – Platte City and Rena Bowman – Kansas City; her brothers – Hugh Wallace – El Dorado Springs,  Fred Huber and Ted Huber – Kansas City; her grandchildren, Andrew Sheek-Stewart – Butler and Tyler Anderson – Lathrop; her mother, Willa O’Quinn – El Dorado Springs and numerous uncles, cousins, nieces and grand nieces.  She was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Wallace, and her nephew, Alex Huber.
