Ralph Eugene Hoskins

Ralph Eugene “Gene” Hoskins, 72, of El Dorado Springs, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020, after a two-year battle with cancer.  Gene was born June 5, 1947, to Adron Ralph and Betty Jean (Bunnell) Hoskins, in Gary, IN.

Gene worked construction, especially ironwork, most of his life.  He was very proud of his work, including helping to build Sears Tower.

He loved to fish and hunt, especially deer and turkey.  He was kind of ornery, but had a good sense of humor.  He was a great cook and volunteered at the Senior Center, and he cooked for many fundraisers.

He is survived by his best friend, caretaker and significant other, Pat Pennell.

Graveside services were held at Bethel Cemetery, near Brownbranch, MO, in Taney County, on Monday, May 4, 2020, under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
