Shirley Mae Price, 92, Aurora, formerly of El Dorado Springs, passed away at 8:10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, in the Aurora Nursing Center. She was born July 12, 1924, in St. Louis the daughter of Harold and Mae (Murdock) McClure.
Shirley was a secretary for the gas company and Dr. Morrison’s office in Aurora.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Barker and her husband, Brent, of Allen, TX, and Elizabeth Steketee of Aurora; grandsons, Derrill Leroy Price III, Billings and Archie Price of Springfield; great-grandson, Shawn Preston Price, Billings; daughter-in-law, Peggy Price, Billings, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mae; her naval officer husband, Derrill Leroy Price Sr; her son, Spc-4 Derrill Leroy Price Jr., a Vietnam casualty; and two brothers, Win and Richard McClure.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Oct. 2, in the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.
