Virginia Lee (Holloway) Davis, 83, El Dorado Springs, was born September 20, 1941, to Goldia L. Resendiz. She passed away peacefully in her home on April 18th, 2025.
Virginia was raised in McPherson, KS, by her parents Goldia and Bob. She worked various jobs in different states before her and her daughter Goldia settled in El Dorado Springs. Once she was in El Dorado Springs she worked many years at Dunbrooke, shoe factory, and then retired as a housekeeper from the nursing home. She married her beloved late husband Gerald L. Davis on May 3rd, 1974.
Virginia will be fondly remembered for her strong worth ethic, independence, playing cards with good friends, spending time at the senior center, and her love for going to a flea market. She will be best remembered by her willingness and grace to help others, love for her family and friends, embroidering beautiful quilts, and most importantly the Queen of the senior center.
Preceding Virginia in death were her husband, Gerald L. Davis; parents, Goldia and Bob Resendiz; and daughter, Goldia L. Schulte.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen (Dew) Davis; step children, Chris Davis and John Davis; grandchildren: Greg Austin and wife, Stephanie, Jarred Austin, Jordan Dozler and husband, Brennan, Destany Miller S/O Josh Barre, and Kira Carroll and husband, Tyler; son in law, Victor Schulte; six great-granddaughters: Sakara, Keana, Brennali, Rylynn, Teegan, and Esme; and three great-grandsons: Colton, Hayden, and Theo.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m.
