Wayne Franklin Williamson, 89, passed away on May 6, 2026, at Community Springs Healthcare Facility in El Dorado springs, MO.
Wayne was born on Nov. 4, 1936, to Clarence and Bessie (Smith) Williamson in Oskaloosa, KS. Wayne had one sibling, Lynda Williamson.
After attending high school in Maryville, MO, his education included two years at Little Rock University and one year at Arkansas State Teacher’s College. Wayne served in the United States Air Force, receiving an honorable discharge in 1964, after 10 years of service. His education continued as he completed numerous pilot training programs.
From 1967 to 2003, when he retired, Wayne did what he loved to do the most, flying for numerous organizations, including Central Air Charter, Got Global Airlines and Worldwide Airlines. He was an excellent and proficient pilot, earning the respect of everyone in his field.
Wayne and his wife, Millie, enjoy their golden years residing in El Dorado springs until her passing in December of 2025.
Wayne had a great sense of humor and was a good friend to many. He loved gathering with pilot friends, young and old, exchanging stories of worldwide travels and adventures. He will be missed very much.
