Spoonbilling is great, one of our best season openers ever. I’d say one in 10 is over 60. Many caught their limit in a few minutes and went home.

Blue cats and crappie have been biting all winter but not many people have been fishing,

We are now open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Sunday10 – 1.

There’s no water here. People are telling us the crappie are at the Hwy. 54 bridge.

Our hours are 9-5 and Sundays 9-6.

White bass are on the move in the rivers. Lots of small males being caught with some females. Paddle Tails and Rooster Tails work best. Crappie are roaming feeding on shad. Purple and chartreuse minnow style jigs and monkey milk work the best. Walleye are being caught on shiners and spoons on wind blown points and jerk baits later in the evening.

Our hours are Thursday – Sunday 8-5 until April 1.

Orleans Trail Marina

The water temperature is still too cool for walleye to spawn. Lots of people are catching limits of crappie off the creek banks and in the openings to coves.

Our pre-season hours (until closer to Memorial Day) are 9 – 3 or 4.
