We got a lot more rain than I thought we’d get. The boat ramp is under water and you can’t get to the bank to snag. So I’ve kind of lost track of spoonbilling.

The blue cats are biting. I’m selling lots of bait. I think it will get good next week.

We are open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Closed Mondays.

Some of the big crappie are still on the bank hitting chartreuse Paddle Tails with a purple tail on a 3/16 oz. jig head on 10 lb. test braided line. Some crappie that have spawned have moved out on the trees and are 15 – 20 ft. deep. They are hungry and I watched them hit on my Live Scope. I’ve heard reports of walleye out there with the crappie at that depth, but I didn’t catch any.

I’ve heard of some crappie on the brushpiles.

It rained on the lake about noon and chased some boats off. I’m headed back out at 4 p.m.

Our hours are 8-5.
