They are catching catfish and crappie. A few days ago, someone caught 40 catfish in two days.

Most of them were just fillet size. Six or seven were pretty good size.

Best baits for the catfish ae shad and worms. The crappie are hitting on minnows.

Best times to fish are early in the morning and at dusk.

Lake Stockton Report

They are catching quite a bit of crappie and walleye.

Both are hitting on deep diving crankbaits in 20 to 25 ft. of water.

They are good eating size is about all I have heard.

Taberville Report

No one answered the phone at Dain’s Fish Farm on Saturday leading me to speculate that the Osage River was too high and swift to launch a boat or fish from the bank at Taberville. On Saturday, the TV reported that Truman Lake was at 717, which is 11 feet above normal pool.

Dain’s is closed on Sunday and Monday.

A fisherman was in our office Friday and said the Osage was high and swift.
