Lake Stockton Report

I see them out there cleaning walleye every day.
We went out the other evening and caught white bass on crank bait, I think they are catching a few crappie.
The white bass are pretty easy to catch. My wife caught three of them in 30 minutes of fishing.

Catfish are biting. I’m selling perch and bullheads.
The better the bait the better the fish. You can catch them on hotdogs but usually you don’t catch very good fish. They’ll bite anything. Some have hit grasshoppers and catalpa worms.
Rod and reel fishermen are using shad, worms and perch.
They are catching more fish on lines. Mostly blues.
The river doesn’t have any current. The fish aren’t dying on the line but may start any time.
I did go to the El Dorado Picnic and got a corndog at the Optimist booth.

We’re finally having a good fishing week. Crappie, stripers, hybrids, white bass. This morning they even caught two walleye.
