There’s not many people fishing but they are catching fish on jugs baiting with goldfish. One guy caught three. One of them was a flathead that went over 50 lbs. Other guys also are using jugs.

Goldfish is all I had. That’s what he wanted anyway.

I went hunting this morning and arrowed a little doe. She had lice all over her.

Caplinger Report

They haven’t been running water so the river is low. The fish are likely there but nobody is fishing. My husband said we haven’t had hardly anybody in the store all week.

This is the last weekend we will be open. Our last day open will be the 23rd or 24th.

We live here. The phone number is on the dolor – 417/276-3838. We will close until next spring probably in March.

If somebody needs something, we’ll open up for them or they can make an appointment to buy minnows or what ever. The campground will be open.

Lake Stockton Report

Most people have found fishing tough this week, but the last guy in said he was doing alright on walleye. He was fishing on points. Maybe it’s just where you are and what you’re fishing with.

We are open until Halloween unless it freezes over before then.
