Taberville Report

Dains Fish Farm
There’s not many many people fishing but they are catching limits of blue cats and a few flatheads. The biggest this week was a 50 lb. blue and a 78 lb. flathead. Everybody gets at least one 30 pounder. They are all on trotlines or jugs. The flatheads are all on goldfish. That’s the only live bait I have. Flatheads only bite on live bait.
I went hunting this morning but didn’t see any deer. I was going to shoot a squirrel but they weren’t moving either.

It sounds like fishing might be picking up a little bit. They are catching catfish and walleye.

Our last day open was the 23rd or 24th.
We live here. The phone number is on the door – 417/276-3838. We will close until next spring probably in March.
If somebody needs something, we’ll open up for them or they can make an appointment to buy minnows or what ever. The campground will be open.
