Written by McKenzie Cole – On September 3, the ECS Soccer Team played the CLC Mustangs at their first home game, and they had an amazing first win!  It was a very close game, ending 3-3 in regulation time.  It then went into two 15-minute halves of overtime and was still tied, so both teams shot penalty kicks. There were two rounds of penalty kicks. In the first round, both teams made four out of five kicks; in the second round, ECS made two while CLC only made one.

They played very well and did their best! What is exciting about this win is that the same team had beaten them in Fort Scott just 5 days prior!  The team learned from their mistakes, made adjustments, and got the W at home!

Assistant Coach Heather Johnson said, “I am very excited about this very first season of boys soccer at ECS. Glory to God for the remarkable win. The boys gave their all, and we are so proud of them.” Keep up the good work, Buffalos!
