CEDAR COUNTY COMMIISSON

The Cedar County Commission met Aug. 8, 2016. Present were – Marlon Collins, presiding commissioner; Don Boultinghouse, northern commissioner; John A. Fox, southern commissioner; Peggy Kenney, county clerk

Minutes from Aug. 1, 2016, were approved.

Met with Road and Bridge department.

LJ Hart discussed refinancing a portion of revenue bonds pertaining to Law Enforcement Facility. Bonds,  would be at less than 1% interest

Wanda Cassell, David Bennett and Byron Bennett discussed closing a portion of 1700 Rd down to four way, corner of 1457 Rd east to 1475 Rd.

Monthly reports were presented by the following offices: Patrick Davis, University Extension; Cedar County,  Health Clinic; Ty Gaither, prosecuting attorney; Carole Wilkerson, recorder of deeds; Marge Vance, economic developer

Bills were approved and paid

Met with Chad Pyle, assessor, to process court 21281 through 21292 to add-on the assessed valuation of newly purchased personal property.
