The Cedar County Commission met Dec. 8, 2025. Present: Kenneth Thornton, presiding commissioner; Ron Alumbaugh, northern commissioner; Ted Anderson, southern commissioner; Carla Lowe, treasurer; Peggy Kenny, commission assistant and Chrislynn Price, county clerk.

9:21 a.m. Commission reviewed Recorder of Deeds monthly report.

9:48 a.m. Commission reviewed and signed BRO-R020 (001) progress invoice No. 9.

!0 a.m. Budget hearing, Coroner Danny Green, presented budget request, conference call with State Health Department about Violent Death and Overdose Death Surveillance Contract, Sheriff James McCrary presented budget request, County Clerk Chrislynn Price presented budget requests for county commission, county clerk, elections, building and grounds, fringe benefits.

10:35 a.m. Assessor Morton presented weekly report and court orders to be signed.

11:08 a.m. Sheriff McCrary presented weekly report, inmate count is 28.

1 p.m. DJ Ford presented weekly update and budget request, an open market bid came in for the truck bid at $35,895, the specifications match what was bid by Vogler Motors Co from Carbondale, IL, Thornton moved to approve the open market bid pursuant to RLMo 34.040(3) for $53.895, Anderson seconded the move, the move passed unanimously with Alumbaugh voting yes as well.

2 p.m. Assessor Leah Morton presented budget request.

3 p.m. County Clerk Chrislynn Price presented budget requests for general government, treasurer, recorder, public administrator, prosecuting attorney, surveyor, umergenty management, health department and collector, Lisa Nelson presented budget request.

Reviewed and approved payroll and accounts payable bills.

4 p.m. Commission adjourned.
