Met with Chad Pyle, Assessor

Requests to process court order 25164-25205, to add-on the assessed valuation of newly purchased personal property.

Met with Noah Gates, Tri-State Truck Center concerning interest in purchasing or leasing a MAC dump truck.  MAC participates in the government contract program.  2 year program, at end of two years option to trade-in, sell, or retain after 2 years owing the balance.  They will take trade-in on our old equipment. DJ took rep to quote trade-in.

Weekly Report of Inmate Housing: Out of County – 57, Cedar – 6 = 63

Discussed effects of new state minimum wage rate.  If raise starting wage to $9.75 would be a $47,000 increase for 2020, if raising starting wage to $10.00 would be $60,000 increase for 2020.  Discussed parking garage door concerns, checking into another company for repairs.

Met with DJ Ford, Road & Bridge Supervisor

Discussed CR220 over a MODOT discrepancy.

Called DJ to find out if he could add the Wagoner Road pipe to the list, it’s already on.

Tom Rodgers stopped in to report concerns over a culvert on Wagoner road.  Culvert needs to be dug out, raised, and cleaned out.  It was buried too deep when it was put in years ago.  It is a 15” culvert pipe.  Since the irrigation was put in by a neighbor last year it began causing a problem.

Judy Nichols stopped in to report CR850 near Fair View Church.  It is down to one lane of traffic in a section of road with limited visibility traveling up hill.

Met with Arlo Rupke, Emergency Management Director

Submitted annual budget for 2020.

Commission reviewed monthly reports for Cedar County Health Department activity in El Dorado Springs and Stockton.

Payroll was approved.

The County Commission opened all bids received.  All bids were tabled for review on January 27, 2020.

Met with DJ Ford, Road & Bridge Supervisor to discussed county roads.

Tom Bryant stopped in to report concerns on CR1170.

Conference call with Chuck Shannon from C&C Group to discuss service contract on fire alarms and backflows for sprinklers.  Commission tabled for further review January 27, 2020.

Noah with Tri-State Truck Center emailed a quote of $45,000 trade-in on our used truck.

Commission reviewed budget and will rest until January 31st for final public hearing.

Commission reviewed and signed quarterly assessor report.
