CEDAR COUNTY COMMISSION

The Cedar County Commission met February 21, 2023. Present: Kenneth Thornton; Presiding Commissioner; Don Boultinghouse, Northern Commissioner; Kendra Householder, Deputy County Clerk (morning) Heather York, County Clerk (afternoon).  Absent: Ted Anderson, Southern Commissioner

Met with staff of Assessor Chad Pyle

Requests to process court order #28509-28536 to add-on the assessed valuation of newly purchased personal property.

Resident stopped in to discuss whether a road closure had occurred on an old section of road; no road closure for this section of road has been recorded.   

Received complaints on CR2325, CR425(Pacetown) may need a culvert cleaned out or replaced.

Confirmed that Thornton and York still planned to attend the Floodplain Project Kickoff meeting in the commission room on 2/22/2023.

Briefly discussed a proposal from CIC Software for a new time tracking set-up that integrates with our accounting software.  Variable equipment and options created a larger cost than anticipated. Clerk will follow-up with CIC for cost variations when different equipment is selected.
