In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On August 21, 2018, officers responded to 901 South Grand, El Dorado Springs R-2 School, concerning a reported assault.  A juvenile suspect has been identified and referred to the Juvenile Office.

On August 21, 2018, officers responded to 708 South Main concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a black lock box containing $200.00 in cash and pearls. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 21, 2018, officers arrested Derek G. Masters, 19, El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear. He was released after a court appearance.

On August 21, 2018, officers arrested Amy J. Miller, 43, El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear. She was released after a court appearance.

On August 21, 2018, officers arrested Brian K. Snethen, 43, El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear. He was released after a court appearance.

On August 21, 2018, officers arrested Tyler M. Wilkins, 27, El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear. He was released after a court appearance.

On August 22, 2018, officers arrested Charity J. Lumley, 34, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Dog Running at Large with a $100.50 bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On August 23, 2018, officers arrested Shaeffer B. Johnson, 19, of Osceola, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with Probation Violation on the original charge of Arson Second Degree with no bond and Cedar County Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the charging of equipment violations with a $300.00 cash bond. Also an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Failure to Display a Valid Plate with a $276.50 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bonding and court appearances.

On August 23, 2018, officers arrested Chadd A. Ellison, 19, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Speeding with a $151.00 cash bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On August 24, 2018, officers arrested Kristina L. Spencer, 34, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Dog Running at Large, Dog License Required, Dangerous Dog, and Failure to Obey an Officer with a $502.00 bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On August 24, 2018, officers responded to a reported motor vehicle crash in the 1500 block of South Missouri 32 Highway. This accident apparently occurred when a black 2015 Dodge Ram pick-up-truck, driven by Rickey D. Casey, 64, of El Dorado Springs, was northbound on Missouri 32 Highway, traveling off the right side of the roadway striking a light pole and mail box before coming to final rest in a residential yard. Casey was transported by private vehicle to Cedar County Memorial Hospital. He was later transferred to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. I would like to thank the El Dorado Springs Volunteer Fire Department and Cedar County First Responders for their assistance at the accident scene.

On August 25, 2018, officers responded to 108 South Grand Street concerning a reported assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Christina M. Jewell, 35, of El Dorado Springs, with assault. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On August 25, 2018, officers responded to 311 North Main concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of statue of Mary holding baby Jesus, a blue tote that contained cat food, and a deep freeze. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 25, 2018, officers arrested Larry O. Messick, Jr, 18, of Walker, an active El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Disorderly Conduct in Park with a $251.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.
