Aug 29 – Arrest:Corey D Brown, 37, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of domestic assault 2nd degree, felonious restraint and unlawful use of a weapon. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County warrant charging Brown with domestic assault 2nd degree, robbery 1st degree and armed criminal action with a $50,000 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County jail.

Aug 30 – Arrest: Stephanie K Pierce, 47, Nevada, for an active Cedar County warrant charging her with probation violation on the original charge of possession of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana, with a $5,000 bond.  She was released on bond pending court appearance.

Aug  31 – Arrests: Tammy S Kronk, 47, El Dorado Springs, charging her with driving while revoked. She was released on summons pending court appearance.

Alvin W. Dunn, 45, El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County warrant charging him with probation violation on the original charge of keeping and maintaining a public nuisance with no bond.  He was transferred to Cedar County jail.

Officers served a search warrant at 407 East Twyman, which borders the public school property, after receiving information concerning illegal drug activity. Officers located and seized one large marijuana plant, illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia as evidence. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Paul Dean R. Coleman, 45, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of manufacturing a controlled substance, Class B felony, keeping a public nuisance as a crime, Class C felony, possession of marijuana, more than 35grams, Class C felony and possession of drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County warrant charging Coleman with manufacturing/producing a controlled substance, Class B felony and possession of controlled substance, Class C felony with a bond of $25,000. He was released on bond.

Officers served a search warrant at 222 West Hickory, after receiving information concerning illegal drug activity. Officers located and seized illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia as evidence. Investigation resulted in the arrests of Ronald A. Baker, 44, and Kimberly L. Baker, 49, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of possession of a controlled substance, Class C felony, keeping a public nuisance as a crime, Class C felony and possession of drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor. Officers completed probable cause statements for these charges. Officers received Cedar County warrants charging them with possession of a controlled substance with a $10,000 bond. Ronald Baker was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and a court appearance. Kimberly Baker was released on bond pending court appearance.

Sept 1 – Officers served a search warrant at 500 East Fields Street, trailer #19, which borders the public school property, after received information concerning illegal drug activity. Officers located and seized illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia as evidence. Also located was an improvised explosive device (pipe bomb). Springfield Fire Department’s Bond Squad responded and rendered the explosive device safe. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Harley D. Perry, 36, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of possession of an incendiary device, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana. Perry was released on summonses pending court appearance. Also arrested was Shayleah D. Nipps, 20, El Dorado Springs, for a fugitive from justice due to a Hood County, TX, warrant charging her with probation violation on original charge of possession of a controlled substance with no bond. She was transferred to Cedar County jail pending extradition.

Officers responded to 121 West Poplar concerning a reported assault. Suspect has been identified, investigation continues.

Sept 2, 2016 – Officers responded to 805 North Jackson concerning a peace disturbance. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Raymond R. Helkey, 27, El Dorado Springs, charging him with possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana and peace disturbance. He was released on summons pending court appearance. Also arrested was Edward E Whitter, 56, El Dorado Springs, for peace disturbance. He was released on summons pending court appearance.

Sept 3 – Officers responded to 115 West Spring Street, Rumors Tavern, concerning a reported disturbance. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Mistie D. Fanelli, 40, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with indecent exposure. She was released on summons pending  court appearance.

Sept 4 – Arrest Lauren E. Crawford, 28, of Nortonville, KS, for a Vernon County warrant, charging her with possession of controlled substance with a $5,000 bond.  She was released on bond pending court appearance.

Officers responded to 135 West Spring concerning a reported assault. Suspect has been identified,  and investigation continues.

Officers responded to 301 South Park Street concerning a reported two years old child in the street. Investigation resulted in the arrest of David L. Garrison, 41, El Dorado Springs, charging him with endangering the welfare of a child. He was released on summons pending court appearance.
