Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 107 requests for assistance this past week, Nov. 18-24. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance 17, Animal Control 16, Assist Other Agencies 21, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 42, Summons 8.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On November 18, 2019, officers responded to 119 South Main Street for a report of a larceny.  The investigation revealed the theft of a Bose Radio. As report taken and investigation continues.

On November 18, 2019, officers responded to the 100 block of East Poplar Street concerning a subject with an active warrant. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Paige N. Walker, 17, of Stockton, for the probable cause of Property Damage, Obstruction of an Officer, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Manner of Pedestrian Travel. She was release on summonses pending a court appearance.

On November 18, 2019, officers responded to a report larceny at 809 South Kirkpatrick Street. The investigation revealed the theft of a Missouri License plate JA7A6K. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 19, 2019, officers responded to 500 South Main Street concerning a suspicious vehicle parked near a church bus. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Robert J. Chastain, 25, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On November 20, 2019, officers responded to a report of a larceny of 106 East Hospital Road. The investigation revealed the theft of two bicycles. The bicycles were recovered by the owners. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 20, 2019, officers responded to 105 West U.S. Highway 54 concerning a larceny.  The investigation revealed the theft of US currency.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 20, 2019, officers responded to 300 West Fields concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a Dynacraft bicycle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 20, 2019, officers responded to 100 block of South Main Street, City Park, concerning property damage. The investigation revealed damage to Christmas lights. Juvenile suspects were identified and referred to the Juvenile Office.

On November 20, 2019, officers responded to 801 East Gentry concerning a request to speak with an officer. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Jessica D. Beard, 28, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was release on summons pending a court appearance.

On November 21, 2019, officers responded to 326 West Spring in concerning an assault that occurred on a school bus. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 23, 2019, officers responded to105 West US 54 Highway, concerning a report Domestic Assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Chipper E. Owsely, 47, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Domestic Assault 4th Degree. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On November 24, 2019, officers responded to a report of an assault occurring at 1103 South Jackson. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 24, 2019, officers arrested Terry G. Coleman, 53, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of No Driver’s License and Unlawful for Certain Persons to Possess a Firearm. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Coleman was released on summonses pending a court appearance.
