In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities
The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 135 requests for assistance this past week, Dec. 19-22. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance 17, Animal Control 11, Assist Other Agencies 21, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 41, Summons 7.

Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.
Police Report
On December 17, 2019, officers arrested Chadd A. Ellison, 21, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Court Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and two counts of Stealing with a $652.00 bond. He was release on recognizance pending a court appearance.
On December 17, 2019, officers responded to 1301 East Industrial Parkway, Southwest Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center, concerning an assault. Suspects have been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.
On December 17, 2019, officers responded to 116 West Fields concerning a peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Melinda G. Goth, 42, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear for the original charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a $225.50 bond. She was released on recognizance pending court appearance.
On December 20, 2019, officers arrested Louis M. Stockdale, 27, of El Dorado Springs, for Barton County charging him with Tampering with a Motor Vehicle with no bond and Vernon County Warrants, charging him with Non-support in excess of 12-months with a $600.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Barton County Jail pending a court appearance.
On December 21, 2019, officers responded to 510 East Gentry concerning a burglary in progress. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Shelby M. (Wilson) Lawson, 22, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Court Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Peace Disturbance with a $175.50 bond and Polk County Warrants charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charges of No Valid Operator’s License and Stealing with no bonds. She was transferred to the Polk County Jail.
