In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 86 requests for assistance this past week, May 4 – 10. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance 13, Animal Control 16, Assist Other Agencies 19, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 51, Summons 5.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On May 4, 2020, officers responded to 200 West McCrary Circle, apartment 23, concerning a reported assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues. 

On May 6, 2020, officers responded to 312 West U.S. 54 Highway, Wood’s Supermarket, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Gregory B. Jackson, 20, of El Dorado Springs, for a Nevada Municipal Court Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear for a traffic offense with a $125.00 cash bond.  He was release on recognizance pending a court appearance.

On May 7, 2020, officers responded to 111 East Joe Davis Street concerning a reported assault. Suspects have been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.

On May 7, 2020, officers responded to the 1100 block of South Jackson in reference to a possession of a controlled substance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Rutger T. Crawford, 24, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Obstruction of duty of an Officer, with a $346.00 bond. He was released on recognizance pending a court appearance.   Also arrested was Michael H. Elshof, 21, of Pittsburgh KS, for the probable cause of Possession of less than 35 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

On May 9, 2020, officers responded 1201 East Patricia concerning a reported domestic disturbance. A suspect has been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.

On May 9, 2020, officers responded to 613 North Main in reference to a Domestic Disturbance. A suspect has been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.

On May 9, 2020, officers responded the 400 block of North Jackson concerning a reported assault. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 9, 2020, officers responded to 809 East Marshall concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a black Jimenez 9mm semi-automatic pistol. A report taken and the investigation continues.
