In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 118 requests for assistance this past week, Nov. 16-22. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 14, Animal Control 8, Assist Other Agencies 23, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 7, All Other Requests for Assistance 45, Summons 12.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On November 9, 2020, officers responded to a report of assault at 1304 East Industrial Parkway, Southwest Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center. A report taken and investigation continues.

On November 9, 2020 officers responded to 805 South Main concerning a reported domestic assault. A report taken and investigation continues.

On November 10, 2020, officers arrested Eddie Hines, 63, of El Dorado Springs, for probable cause of Driving While Intoxicated.  Mr Hines was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On November 12, 2020 officers responded to 302A South Kirkpatrick concerning a report larceny.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 12, 2020 officers arrested Matthew J. Richards, 30, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with a non moving traffic violation with a $137.00 cash bond. Mr. Richards was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On November 12, 2020, officers responded to 308 West Hightower Street for a report of a burglary.  The investigation revealed the force entry was made through the front door and a firearm was stolen. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 13, 2020, officers arrested Aaron N. Govoro, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for a Nevada Municipal Court Warrant, charging him with no operator’s license, no insurance, and four counts of Fail to Appear. Mr Govoro was released on recognizance pending a court appearance.

On November 13, 2020, officers arrested Amber R Miner, 34, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Revoked. Ms. Miner was released with summons pending a court appearance.

On November 15, 2020, officers responded to 305 West Carmen concerning a reported larceny.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

The department received a total of 118 requests for service.

On November 17, 2020 officers arrested James R Willmore, 41, of El Dorado Springs, for a Buchanan County Probation Violation Warrant, on the original charge of Non-Support with a $500.00 cash bond. Mr. Willmore was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On November 17, 2020 officers arrested Brandon J Marriott, 37, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Trespass in the First Degree with a $1035.50 bond. Mr. Marriott was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On November 18, 2020, officers arrested Angela A McGinnis, 45, of El Dorado Springs, for a Polk County Warrant, charging her with a Fail to Appear on the original charge of Possession of Amphetamine with a $10,000.00 bond. Ms. McGinnis was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On November 19, 2020, officers arrested Lea A Derry, 24, of El Dorado Springs, for probable cause of driving without a valid operator’s license. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On November 20, 2020 officers assisted the Appleton City Police Department with the arrest of Quentin J Sieleman, 17, of El Dorado Springs, for the Probable Cause for Burglary and Property Damage. Mr. Sieleman was released to St Clair County Sheriff’s Office.

On November 21, 2020 officers arrested Cassandra J Robison, 30, of El Dorado Springs, for Nevada Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Operating a Vehicle on Highway without a Valid License. Ms. Robison was released pending a court appearance.

On November 22, 2020, officers responded to 403 South Ohio, Apt 2, concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a Sony Playstation 3, power cord for a projector and two Playstation 3 games. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 22, 2020, officers arrested Troy M. Spurgeon, 43, of El Dorado Springs,  for the probable cause of Driving While Revoked. Mr. Spurgeon was released on summons pending a court appearance.

The department received a total of 98 requests for service
