The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 157 requests for assistance this past week, May 24-30. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 12, Animal Control 30, Assist Other Agencies 20, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 16, All Other Requests for Assistance 79, Summons 9.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On May 24, 2021, officers arrested Paige N. Walker, 19, Stockton, for Vernon County Warrants charging her with Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Operating a Motor Vehicle in a Careless Matter with no bond, charging her with Stealing with no bond and a Cedar County Warrant charging her with Resisting Arrest with no bond. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On May 24, 2021, officers responded to 510 East Thompson Street concerning a larceny from a motor vehicle.  The investigation revealed the theft of a vehicle title and other items. A report taken and the investigation continues. 

On May 24, 2021 officers arrested Schaeffer B Johnson, 22, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant for Family Offense (Non Support) with a $500.00 cash bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On May 24, 2021 officers responded to 403 South Ohio, Apt 1, for a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of 2 IPhone mini’s and 2 sim cards. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 24, 2021 officers responded to 1607 South Vernon concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a bicycle with a white frame and red and blue decal stickers on it. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 25, 202, officers arrested Douglas Bradler, 29, of El Dorado Springs, for a Johnson County Warrant, charging him with Burglary with a $5,000.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending a court appearance.

On May 26, 2021 officers arrested Chelsea D. Wegner, 28, of El Dorado Springs for a Cedar County Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear on the Original Charge of Violation on Education Requirement for a Child with a $100.00 cash bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On May 27, 2021 officers arrested Steven A. Horning, 37, of El Dorado Springs, for a State Warrant charging him with Probation Violation on the Original charge of larceny with no bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On May 27, 2021 officers arrested Kayleen Varner, 26, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Suspended. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On May 28, 2021, officers responded to a report of fraudulent use of a credit device of a lost debit card. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 28, 2021, officers responded to the 100 block of South Kirkpatrick Street concerning a reported larceny from a motor vehicle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 29, 2021, officers responded to 302A South Kirkpatrick Street concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a plastic gas can. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 29, 2021, officers arrested Alice R. Pollack, 27, of Oklahoma City, for a Cedar County Warrant charging her with Damage to Jail/Jail Property with a $500.00 cash bond. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On May 30, 2021, officers arrested Nicole L. Pitkin, 41, of El Dorado Springs, for a Linn County Warrant charging her with Probation Violation on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $15,000.00 bond. She was transfer to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On May 30, 2021, officer arrested Robert E Speace Jr, 52, of El Dorado Springs, for Jackson County, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Moving Traffic Violation with a $1000.00 cash bond and a Lafayette County Warrant for Possession Methamphetamine with a $7500.00 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On May 30, 2021, officers responded to 412 South Kirkpatrick Street concerning a reported larceny from vehicle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 31, 2021 officers responded to 509 West Fields Street, Pro Shop, concerning a larceny from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a golf putter with a gray head cover, and a set of keys.  Continuing the investigation officer recovered the stolen property which was returned to the owner. This investigation continues.

On May 31, 2021, officers arrested Makynzie L. Raines, 21, of El Dorado Springs, for a El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Resisting Arrest with a $443.00 bond.  She was released after a court appearance.

On June 1, 2021, officers responded to 220 West US 54 Highway, Fugate Motors, concerning larceny from motor vehicles. The investigation revealed the theft of two catalytic converters. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 2, 2021, officers responded to 308 North Jackson concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of 5 boxes containing patio furniture taken from the front porch. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 3, 2021, officers arrested John J. Cox, 39, of El Dorado Springs, for Cedar County Warrants, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Resisting Arrest with no bond, Failure to Appear on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and a Bates County warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm with a $10,000 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On June 3, 2021, officers arrested Lisa D Murdock, 45, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging her with Passing Bad Checks with a $450.00 cash bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 4, 2021, officers responded to 806 South Jackson concerning a larceny from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of 2- 11 foot fishing poles, 2-6 foot fishing poles and spin cast reels. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 4, 2021, officers arrested Korey L Wegner, 34, of El Dorado Springs, for El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrants, charging him with Steal with a $134.50 bond and Tampering with a $134.50 bond. He was released on recognizance.   

On June 4, 2021 officers responded to 229 West Pine concerning a fight in progress. Officers arrested David J. Guinn, 46, and Justin S. Swager, 35, of El Dorado Springs, charging them with Peace Disturbance. They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On June 4, 2021, officers responded to 107 North High concerning a reported trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Korey L Wegner, 34, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On June 4, 2021, officers responded to 412 South Kirkpatrick concerning a peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Shawnda R. Pulley, 39, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Shoplifting with $184.50 bond.  She was released pending a court appearance.

On June 5, 2021, officers responded to 123 West Walnut concerning a reported structure fire.  The investigation revealed a flammable liquid present in the structure. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 5, 2021 officers responded to 504 East Fields a reported peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Alice R. Pollock, 27 of Oklahoma City, for the probable cause of Burglary First Degree, Property Damage, Injurious Substances in Roadway, Trespassing, Sexual Misconduct, Damage to Jail Property. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges.  Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging her with Burglary 1st Degree with a $10,000.00 cash bond. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On June 5, 2021 officers responded to 211 West Hickory concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a bicycle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 6, 2021, officers arrested Rhett A. Lunsford, 26, of El Dorado Springs for an active El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Assault with a $180.50 bond or 48 hours in jail. He was released on recognizance pending a court appearance.
