In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 110 requests for assistance this past week, June 21-27. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 8, Animal Control 10, Assist Other Agencies 17, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 3, All Other Requests for Assistance 71, Summons 7.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On June 21, 2021 officers responded to 115 East US 54 Highway concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a winning lottery ticket. The ticket was later recovered and returned to owner. The investigation continues.

On June 22, 2021, officers arrested Dylan C. Eslinger, 20, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Speeding with a $123.00 cash bond.  He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 24, 2021, officers responded to 312 West US 54 Highway concerning information of Minors in Possession of Alcoholic Beverages. The investigation resulted in the arrests of R D Massey, 18, of Oswego KS, and Steven G. Painter, 18, of El Dorado Springs, charging them with Minor in Possession. They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On June 24, 2021, officers responded to 200 West McCrary Circle, Apt 20, concerning a burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a Tablet, Digital SLR Camera with 18-55 and 75-300 Lens, and a Jar of coins.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 24, 2021, officers arrested Clifford D Bryant, 53, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with Non Support with a $500.00 cash bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 25, 2021, officers responded to 200 West McCrary Circle, Apt 16, concerning a theft from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a wallet containing Social Security Cards, Debit Card and Driver’s License. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 27, 2021, officers responded to 221 West Joe Davis concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a Savage 25-06 Bolt Action rifle with synthetic stock, topped with a Simmons Scope and a credit card. A report taken and the investigation continues.
