In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 105 requests for assistance this past week, June 28-July 4. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 10, Animal Control 10, Assist Other Agencies 8, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 5, All Other Requests for Assistance 72, Summons 14.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On June 29, 2021 officers responded to 500 East Fields, 29, concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a Silver 20 inch, 10 speed girls bicycle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 30, 2021, officers responded to 308 West Hightower concerning a vehicle fire. Officers located a burning vehicle. The El Dorado Springs Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.  A suspect was identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 30, 2021 officers responded to Simone’s Drive In concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a bank bag containing $500.00, 3 bags of chicken and a DVR. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Christian M. Myers, 28, of El Dorado Springs, for probable cause for Burglary, Property Damage, Resisting/interfering with arrest and Tampering.  Officer completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Myers was held on a Cedar County Warrant charging him with Receiving Stolen Property with a $15, 000.00 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance. Additional charges are pending.

On July 1, 2021, officers arrested Jessica D Beard, 30, of El Dorado Springs, for a St Clair County Warrant charging her with Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $10,000.00 bond. She was transferred to the St Clair County Jail pending bond and a court appearance. 

On July 1, 2021, officers arrested Jeffery D Robison, 28, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Suspended. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On July 1, 2021, officers arrested Joshua K Ohman, 29, of El Dorado Springs, for two Cedar County Warrants, charging him with Passing Bad Checks with a $500.00 cash bond and Statutory Rape with a $50,000.00 bond. He was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On July 2, 2021 officers arrested Tobias J Mantonya, 41, of Stockton, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with Larceny with a $2500.00 cash bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On July 3, 2021, officers arrested Micheal J. Copenhaver, 42, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Suspended. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On July 3, 2021, officers responded to 510 East Gentry concerning a reported stolen vehicle. The vehicle was recovered by Lebanon, Missouri, Police Department. Juvenile suspects were taken into custody and referred to the Juvenile Office.

On July 4, 2021, officers responded to 311 South Ohio Street concerning a tampering with a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed vehicle tamper with using eggs, duct tape and other items.  A suspect was identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

Police Report

On July 5, 2021, officers responded to 1314 South MO 32 Highway, Pizza Hut, concerning a burglary. The investigation revealed forced entry was made and a cash register was stolen.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On July 6, 2021, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a reported larceny.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On July 7, 2021, officers arrested Dale W. Fishburn, 59, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Suspended and Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle.  He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On July 7, 2021, officers arrested Korey L. Wegner, 34, of El Dorado Springs, for Cedar County Warrants, charging him with Tampering and Stealing with a $229.00 bond each. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On July 7, 2021, officers arrested Christopher T. Fishburn, 20, for Bolivar Municipal Warrants charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Driving While Revoked/Suspended and for No Operator’s License with a $200.00 cash bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On July 8, 2021, Officers arrested Jason Huegel, 36, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Probation Violation Warrant, for the original charge of three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with no bond.  He was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending a court appearance.

On July 8, 2021, officers arrested Alexander J Masters, 22, of El Dorado Springs, for Jackson County Warrants, charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $2500.00 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On July 9, 2021, officers arrested Raynea R Koca, 36, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging her with No Proof of Insurance and Failure to Wear a Seat Belt with a $300.00 bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On July 10, 2021, officers responded to the 100 block of South Main St concerning a reported stolen vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a silver, 2000 GMC Sierra truck. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On July 10, 2021, officers responded to 1305 South MO 32 Highway concerning a suspicious person. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Robby D. Stafford, 39, of El Dorado Springs, for Cedar County Warrants charging him with Failure to Appear on the Original charges of Child Neglect with a $300.00 cash bond and Resisting Arrest with a $500.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On July 11, 2021, officers responded to 1317 South Missouri 32 Highway, concerning a reported peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Nathan A. Lamb, 21, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Peace Disturbance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.
