The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 94 requests for assistance this past week, June 13-19. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 6, Animal Control 6, Assist Other Agencies 13, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 11, All Other Requests for Assistance 55, Summons 2.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On On June 13, 2022, officers responded to 200 McCrary Circle concerning a disturbance involving a firearm. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Andrew T. Hill, 42, of El Dorado Springs for the probable cause of Unlawful use of a Weapon. Officers completed a probable cause statement for this charge. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging him with Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a $10,000.00 bond. Hill was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and court appearance.

On June 13, 2022, officers responded to 200 West McCrary Circle concerning a Burglary. The investigation revealed forced entry was made and a security camera system and files were stolen. The investigation resulted in the arrest of William B. Britton, 48, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Burglary 2nd Degree, Larceny and Property Damage 2nd Degree. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging him with Burglary 2nd Degree, Stealing $750.00 or more, and Property Damage 1st Degree with a $50,000.00 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On June 13, 2022, officers responded to 504 E Fields, Trailer D6, concerning an assault. A report was taken and the investigation continues.

On June 14, 2022, officers responded to a report of a larceny at 100 East U.S. 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store. A suspect was identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 15, 2022, officers responded to 1402 South Main concerning a theft from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a Berretta .22 Long Rifle, and a box of Winchester Silver Tip ammunition. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 15, 2022, officers responded to 1605 South Vernon concerning an attempted burglary. The investigation revealed attempted forced entry into the residence by removed a screen from a window. A report taken and the investigation continues .

On June 16, 2022, officers responded to 107 West Martin concerning a Domestic Assault. This investigation resulted in the arrest of Jason D. Arnold, 48, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Domestic Assault 3rd Degree, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Officers completed a probable cause statement concerning these charges. The prosecution was referred to El Dorado Springs Municipal Ordinances. Arnold was released on Municipal Citation for the probable cause of Assault.

On June 16, 2022, officers arrested Korey L Wegner, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for El Dorado Springs Municipal Court Warrants, charging him with Stealing with a $131.50 bond, and Trespassing with a $157.00 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On June 16, 2022, officers arrested Keria M Snethen, 39, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging her with Domestic Assault 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action, to be released on her own recognizance after processing. She was released pending a court appearance.

On June 17, 2022, officers responded to a reported assault at 401 North Main Street. A report taken and the investigation continues.
