The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 87 requests for assistance this past week, May 22-28. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 4, Animal Control 11, Assist Other Agencies 11, All Escorts 3, Nuisance 9, All Other Requests for Assistance 46, Summons 6.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On May 22, 2023, officers responded to 208 West US 54 Highway concerning a trailer theft. The investigation revealed the theft of a 16 foot box trailer full of construction tools and supplies. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 23, 2023, officers responded to 210 East Fields, Head Start, concerning vandalism. The investigation revealed spray paint on the sidewalk. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 24, 2023, officers arrested Chandler Levi Collins, 23, of El Dorado Springs, a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender with a $5,000.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On May 25, 2023, officers responded to 218 West Marshall concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a John Deere 150 riding lawn-mower, a box spring and a duffle bag of clothes.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of Matthew J. Richards, 32, of El Dorado Springs. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On May 25, 2023, officers responded to 319 West Joe Davis concerning a Domestic Disturbance.  A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 26, 2023, officers responded to 100 South Main Street, Spring Park, concerning vandalism. The investigation revealed graffiti on a park bench. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 26, 2023, officers responded to the 500 block of West Field, Baseball Fields, concerning property damage. The investigation revealed vandalism to the men’s restroom. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 26, 2023, officers responded to 504 East Fields, trailer D6, concerning a Domestic Disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Erin A. Voegele, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Domestic Assault and Trespassing. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On May 27, 2023, officers responded to 115 East US 54 Highway, Conoco Station, concerning a motor vehicle theft. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Joseph I. Wyatt, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, Resisting Arrest and Driving While Revoked. Officers complete probable cause statements for these charges. Wyatt was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending charges. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging Wyatt with Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, Driving While Intoxicated, and Resisting Arrest with a $15,000.00 cash bond. He is being held pending bond and a court appearance.

May 29, 2023, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store concerning a shoplifting. The investigation revealed the theft of a bottle of alcoholic beverage. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 30, 2023, officers responded to 227 West US 54 Highway concerning a suspicious vehicle.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of Tyler J. Pate, 25 of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On May 30, 2023, officers arrested Erin A. Voegele, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant charging him with Domestic Assault 2nd degree with a $15,000.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On May 31, 2023, officers responded to 403 South Ohio concerning Domestic Assault.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of James D. Santerle III, 35, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Domestic Assault 4th Degree. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On June 2, 2023, officers responded to the Gene Pray Memorial Golf Course driving range concerning  property damage. The investigation revealed damage to a picnic table and range markers.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 2, 2023, officers responded to 100 South Main Street, Spring Park, concerning larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a trail camera and fish from the fish pool. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 2, 2023, officers responded to 700 East US 54 Highway, Family Dollar, concerning a theft.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 2, 2023, officers responded to 308 North Jackson concerning a property damage. The investigation revealed damage to a vinyl fence from a golf ball. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 2, 2023, officers responded to 119 West Spring concerning peace disturbance and property damage. The investigation revealed damage to a flower bed. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Shelly L. Haynes, 46, of El Dorado Springs for the probable cause of Property Damage, Peace Disturbance and Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in the Park. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On June 2, 2023, officers responded to 317 West Spring Street concerning a peace disturbance. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 3, 2023, officers responded to 509 West Fields, Golf Course and Ball Park, concerning a burglary. The investigation revealed forced entry was made to the restrooms and a toilet and sink was destroyed. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 3, 2023, officers responded to 135 West Spring Street, City Hall, concerning larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of 3 rose bushes. A report taken and the investigation continues.
