The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 83 requests for assistance this past week, Aug. 28-Sept. 3. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 3, Animal Control 12, Assist Other Agencies 15, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 53, Summons 5.

Animal Control

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On August 29, 2023, officers responded to 700 South Park, apartment 3, concerning a reported theft. The investigation revealed the theft of two, Merkury smart security cameras. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 30, 2023, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning Trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Megan R. Rigg, 33, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On September 1, 2023, officers responded to U.S. 54 Highway and Missouri 82 Highway concerning a motor vehicle crash. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Stephen L. Cox, 23, Nevada, for the probable cause of  Driving  While Revoked and a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with  Failure to Appear on the original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving While Revoked with no bond. He was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending a court appearance.

On September 2, 2023 officers responded to a delayed report of Assault and Property Damage at the1300 block South Missouri 32 Highway. A suspect has been identified, report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 2, 2023, officers responded to 104 West Pine concerning a reported theft from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a pair of jeans, pair of sandals, set of keys, a driver license and social security card. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 2, 2023, officers responded to 312 West US 54 Highway, Woods Supermarket, concerning a Shoplifting. The investigation revealed the theft of a bottle of Jim Beam. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Christian I. Pride, 26, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Shoplifting. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On September 3, 2023, officers responded to 403 East Twyman concerning a stolen dirt bike. The investigation revealed the theft of a white 2003 Honda CRF 450R motorcycle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 3, 2023, officers responded to 305 West Broadway concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed items from inside a shed had been stolen. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 6, 2023 officers arrested John R. Herndon, 25, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Revoked. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On September 6, 2023, officers received a report of Identity Theft. The investigation revealed additional phones added to a cell phone account. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 6, 2023, officers arrested Fallen M Andrews, 40, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Assault First Degree and Property Damage First Degree. Officer completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging Andrews with Property Damage First Degree with a $15,000.00 cash bond. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On September 7, 2023 officers arrested Korey L. Wegner, 36, El Dorado Springs, for multiple El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrants for Failure to Appear on the original charges of Stealing/Larceny/Theft, Trespass 6 Counts, Property Damage 2 counts and Peace Disturbance with a total bond of $1767.00. He was released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.

On September 7, 2023, officers responded to 313 West Pine concerning an Assault. The investigation revealed an animal was released in a threatening manner.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 8, 2023, officers received a report of a stolen Honda 100R pit bike and a Stihl pole saw from 119 Winner Road. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 8, 2023, officers responded to 608 N Jackson concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a 1970 Evinrude 25 horsepower outboard boat motor. A report taken and the investigation continues.
