The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 74 requests for assistance this past week, Sept.25-Oct 1. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 2, Animal Control 8, Assist Other Agencies 11, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 5, All Other Requests for Assistance 47, Summons 3.

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On September 25, 2023, officers responded to 115 West Walnut Street concerning a domestic disturbance. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 26, 2023, officers responded to 218 West Marshall Street concerning a stolen moped. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 27, 2023, officers responded to 115 West Fields concerning property damage. The investigation revealed damage to windows. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 28, 2023, officers responded to 302 A South Kirkpatrick concerning a peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Shelly L. Haynes, 46, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Peace Disturbance and Obstruction/Resisting Arrest. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On September 28, 2023, officers responded to 406 South Jackson Street concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a tool box containing a drill battery from a porch. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 29, 2023, officers responded to 229 West Broadway concerning a burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a Troy-Bilt  lawn-mower from a garage. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 29, 2023, officers responded to 500 South Main Street, First Baptist Church El Dorado Springs concerning property damage. The investigation revealed two projectile impacts in the wall along the south side of the building.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 30, 2023, officers responded to the City Soccer Field on East Industrial Parkway concerning a reported burglary of the Christian School concession stand. The investigation revealed damage a door frame.   A report taken and the investigation continues.
