In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 66 requests for assistance this past week, Dec. 4-10. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 2, Animal Control 8, Assist Other Agencies 11, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 6, All Other Requests for Assistance 39, Summons 9.

Animal Control

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On December 4, 2023, officers responded to 215 West Spring concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a yard light.The investigation resulted in the arrest of Chrystele D. Morris, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of stealing. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On December 4, 2023, officers responded to 500 East Fields, trailer 26, concerning trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Phillip R. Robison, 42, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On December 4, 2023, officers arrested Darla K. Chandler, 59, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear with $250.00 cash bond, and the probable cause of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges.  She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On December 5, 2023, officers arrested Tyler J Brandenburger, 35, of El Dorado Springs and Miranda L McRae, 32, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of stealing. They were released on summons pending a court appearance.

On December 5, 2023, officers arrested Barbara Lusk, 66, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Animal at Large with a $85.00 bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance

On December 6, 2023, officers arrested Chaddwick J. Park, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Intoxicated and Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Valid Driver’s License. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On December 7, 2023, officers arrested Alvin Dunn, 52, El Dorado Springs, for a Lee’s Summit Municipal Warrant, charging him with Domestic Assault 2nd Degree with a $3,000.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On December 7, 2023, officers arrested Paul D. Coleman,53, El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Traffic Offense with a $250.00 cash bond, and multiple Vernon County Warrants charging him with Failure to Appear for Non-Moving violation and No Seatbelt with a $134.00 cash bond. He was released on bonds pending court appearances.

On December 10, 2023, officers responded to 109 West Broadway concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of about 10 bins worth of clothing. A report taken and the investigation continues.
