In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Jan 15 -, officers responded to 122 West Hightower concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a purse, cash, three debt cards, two checkbooks, and make up, a suspect was identified, a probable cause statement was completed for forgery, possession of forging instruments, fraudulent use of a credit or debit device. Continuing this investigation on Jan 19, officers arrested Samantha K. Johnson, 22, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County warrant, charging her with forgery, a class D felony and fraudulent use of a credit/debit device, a Class A misdemeanor, with a $500 cash bond.   She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Jan 16 –  arrested Buddy A. Jolley, 39, of Stockton, for a Dade County warrant, charging him with probation violation, on the original charge o resisting arrest, with no bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending transfer to Dade County.

Jan 16 – officers responded to 107 East Joe Davis concerning a reported burglary. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Jan 16- arrested Joshua J. Byram, 36, of El Dorado Springs, for an active Cedar County warrant, charging him with violation of a court order with a $500 cash bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.   

Jan 16 – Arrest: Jonathan J. Houdeshell, 27, of El Dorado Springs, for an active El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging him with failure to appear per court order with a $865. bond.  He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Jan 16 – officers responded to 312 West  54 Hwy, Woods Supermarket, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of Pizza Roll.  Continuing this investigation on Jan 20,  officers arrested Timothy A. Hocking, 31, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with larceny. He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and a court appearance.

Jan 17 – officers responded to 512 East Lafayette, Missionary Baptist Church, concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of safe, keys, comforters, bottled water and a ball cap.  On Jan 17, 2018, officers located the stolen safe in rural St. Clair County at a bridge along Clear Creek, documents important to the church were recovered with the safe.

Jan 19 – officers responded to 407 East Patricia concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a wedding ring. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Jan 20 – officers responded to 1329 South  32 Hwy, Scooters 3, concerning a reported burglary. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Timothy A. Hocking, 31, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of 2nd degree burglary, 1st degree property damage, possession of burglary tools and stealing, after a short foot pursuit. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County warrant charging Hocking with 2nd degree burglary, 1st Degree property damage, possession of burglary tools, and Stealing with a $25,000 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and a court appearance. Additional, burglary and stealing charges are expected, Hocking also had an active Vernon County felony warrant, charging him with forgery, a class C felony, with no bond and El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging him with failure to appear on the original charges of assault, property damage, and stealing.

Jan 20 – officers responded to 100 East Hwy 54, Casey’s General Store, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of $6.57 of fuel. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Jan 21 –  officers responded to 300 South Grand concerning a reported assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Melissa L. Kleine, 19, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with assault. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.
