Arrests and Reports

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of November 19, 2024 through November 25, 2024

November 19th – Trespassing in Appleton City – On November 19th, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to a call for service in reference to a possible trespassing/property damage. Upon arrival, the Deputy spoke with the property owner who identified a red tractor chained to logs on her property that she did not own nor allow there. A suspect was named, the area was canvassed, and evidence was taken for the report.

November 20th – Warrant Arrest (Parole Violation) – On November 20th, a St. Clair County Deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that Amanda Crawford was in, near Pence Avenue in Roscoe. The Deputy arrested Amanda for a Probation and Parole Warrant for a Parole Violation with an original charge of Dangerous Possession of a Controlled Substance. Amanda was transferred to the St. Clair County Jail and a Capias bond was set.

November 20th – Warrant Arrest (Failure to Appear – Traffic) – On November 22nd, a St. Clair County Deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for excessive speed, on A Highway in Appleton City. St. Clair County Dispatch advised that the passenger, Lamar Morgan had a Failure to Appear warrant out of Benton County with an original charge of Exceeded Posted Speed Limit (Exceeded by 20 – 25 Mph). Lamar was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at $300 cash only.

November 26th – Warrant Arrest (Failure to Appear – Traffic) – On November 26th, a St. Clair Deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that Kimi Jackson was the driver of. After making contact with Kimi, St. Clair County Dispatch notified the deputy that she had an active warrant out of Buchanan County for Failure to Appear – Fail to Display Plates on Motor Vehicle. Kimi was transported to the St. Clair County Jail, and the bond was set at $125.00.

November 26th – Structure Fire in Vista – On November 26th, St. Clair County Deputies and Sac Osage Fire responded to Vista in reference to a structure fire. The property owner said that he was entering the basement when he noticed a large amount of smoke, and believed the fire started from the breaker box. The house was fully engulfed by flames by the time the deputies and firefighters showed up, and the Fire Marshal was called. After a thorough investigation, the Fire Marshal declared the fire an accident.

November 27th – Warrant Arrest (Probation Violation) – On November 27th, a St. Clair Deputy arrested Kac Keith Cooper at the St. Joseph Department of Corrections on a St. Clair County Warrant for Probation Violation per writ of Habeas Corpus. The original charges on the warrant were for Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kac was transported to the St. Clair County Jail, and due to this being a writ, there is no bond.

December 2nd – Trespassing in Collins – On November 26th, a St. Clair Deputy responded to a call for service on J Highway in Collins, in reference to trespassing. The deputy spoke with the property owner who stated that two male suspects had broken into the clubhouse of the property, and that the maintenance man had reported two trucks driving north on J Highway shortly after. The deputy then took photographs of the scene, investigated the area, and took a report.

December 3rd – Fraud in Lowry  – On December 3rd, a St. Clair County Deputy was contacted at the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office in reference to fraud. The reporting party said that she had received a letter in the mail from CashnetUSA stating that she has an overdue balance on her account of $2,323.45, yet she had never taken out a loan. The Deputy took information in reference to the report and communicated with CashNet USA’s Fraud Department. This investigation is still ongoing.

December 3rd – Stealing in Lowry  – On December 3rd, a St. Clair County Deputy was contacted at the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a theft. The reporting party said that she had her wallet stolen from the Casey’s in Lowry City, after setting it down near the Fountain Drink Station. The deputy spoke with the Casey’s Store Manager, collected evidence, and a suspect was named. This investigation is still ongoing.

December 4th – Warrant Arrest (Failure to Appear – Kansas) – On December 4th, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to the St. Clair County Courthouse in reference to someone having an active warrant. Upon arrival at the courthouse, the deputy arrested James Lysinger Sr. on a Shawnee County, Kansas Warrant for False Statement. James was transported to the St. Clair County Jail pending extradition, on no bond.

December 5th – Warrant Arrest (Failure to Appear) – On December 5th, a St. Clair County Deputy arrested William Taylor-West at the St. Joseph Department of Corrections on a St. Clair County Warrant for Failure to Appear. The original charge on the warrant was for Burglary – 2nd Degree and Stealing – $750 or More. William was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at $25,000 cash only.

December 6th – Warrant Arrest (Sexual Assault) – On December 6th, a St. Clair County Deputy arrested Toby Gannaway at the St. Clair County Jail on a St. Clair County Warrant for Sexual Trafficking of a Child – 2nd Degree – Under 18 YOA, Statutory Rape – 2nd Degree, 2 counts of Statutory Sodomy – 2nd Degree, and Furnish Pornographic Material or Attempt to Furnish to a Minor. The bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety.

December 6th – Warrant Arrest (Failure to Appear – Henry County) – On December 6th, a St. Clair County Deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration, that Hannah Clark was the driver of. St. Clair County Dispatch advised the deputy that Hannah had an active warrant out of Henry County for Failure to Appear – Failure to Register Motor Vehicle. Hannah was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at $250 cash or surety.

December 6th – Warrant Arrest (Dangerous Drugs) – On December 6th, a St. Clair County Deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that Kassie Henderson was the driver of, on a St. Clair County Warrant for two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid. Kassie was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety.

December 6th – Warrant Arrest (Failure to Appear) – On December 5th, a St. Clair County Deputy arrested Angelyna Baker at the Ray County Jail for two Failure to Appear St. Clair County Warrants. The first warrant had an original charge of Stealing – $750 or More, and the second warrant had an original charge of Stealing – Motor Vehicle/Watercraft/Aircraft. Angelyna was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at a total of $20,000 cash only.

December 6th – Warrant Arrest (Dangerous Drugs) – On December 5th, a St. Clair County Deputy arrested Cassondra Patterson at the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office on a St. Clair County Warrant for two counts of Deliver 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid. Cassondra was escorted back to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety.

December 6th – Warrant Arrest (Dangerous Drugs) – On December 5th, a St. Clair County Deputy arrested Blake Lindsey at the St. Clair County Jail on a St. Clair County Warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid. Blake was already in custody at the St. Clair County Jail and the bond for this warrant was set at $10,000 cash or surety.

December 6th – Warrant Arrest (Child Pornography) – On December 6th, a St. Clair County Deputy arrested Matthew Maggard at the St. Clair County Jail on a St. Clair County Warrant for Sexual Trafficking of a Child – 1st Degree – Under 12 Years Old, 3 counts of Possession of Child Pornography – 2nd/Subsequent Offense or Possess > 20 Pics/One Film/Videotape, and one count of Promoting Child Pornography – 2nd Degree. Matthew was already in custody at the St. Clair County Jail on a 24 hour hold from a Missouri Highway Patrol arrest, and the bond for this warrant was set at $100,000 cash or surety.

December 9th – Warrant Arrest (Domestic Assault) – On December 9th, a St. Clair County Deputy arrested Brittany Brewer at the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office on two St. Clair County Warrants. The first warrant was for Domestic Assault – 3rd Degree, and the second warrant was for Probation Violation – Peace Disturbance – 1st Offense. Brittany was escorted to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at a total of $8,500 cash or surety.
