May 16 – Melissa Collins, 33, Osceola, taken into custody on a class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. Charge stems from investigation the same day when a traffic stop was conducted on vehicle she was driving. During investigation a prescription pill bottle with residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located in her possession. Formal charges  pending.

Deputy took a burglary report on SE Hwy PP. Jody and Brenda Long reported several items missing from a camper, shed and carport on their property. Items missing included a game camera, lawn mower, six totes full of household items, camping items and lawn mower trailer. Total value of  items estimated at $735. Investigation ongoing. May 17 – Melissa Collins, 33, Osceola, arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. Bond  set at $15,000 cash or surety.

Charge stems from investigation the previous day when a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle she was driving. During investigation a prescription pill bottle with residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located in her possession.

Deputy took report concerning property damage on SE 1100 Rd, Humansville. Homer Routh reported damage to a barbed wire fence and hedge post on the corner of his property. Damage  estimated at $150 to repair the post and fence.

May 18 – Misty Bennink, 35, Osceola, arrested on St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on class A misdemeanor domestic assault-third degree, class A misdemeanor stalking and class B misdemeanor trespass-first degree. Warrant issued on April 1. Bond set at $7,500 cash or surety.

Charges stems from incident  Feb 3 when deputies responded to disturbance on NE 800 Rd, Lowry City. Bennink allegedly trespassed on property as well as stalked and assaulted an individual.

Deputy took report from Richard Foster in reference to burglary at the Appleton City storage units located at the corner of Third and Popular.  Foster reported several items missing from storage unit he is renting. Missing items include: old wedding dress, air tank with compressor motor, two end tables, a Homelite chainsaw, three tool boxes, two trash cans, milk crate, and extension cord. He also reported a trunk containing dishes, photo albums with quilted covers, watches, pocket knives and two toy trucks was missing.

Warrant  issued for Timothy Long, 58, Collins, charging him with class B felony driving while intoxicated-chronic offender and class D felony driving while suspended. Bond set at $15,000 cash or surety.

Charges stem from investigation March 12 when a deputy took a statement from a witness concerning Long driving while intoxicated on SE 601 Rd. Witness stopped to check on Long while he was parked with the vehicle running. Deputy made contact with Long and it was determined he was intoxicated. He was taken into custody and later released pending formal charges. May 19 – Jeffrey Mitchell, 41, Collins,  arrested in St. Clair County on a Hickory County warrant charging him with class D felony non support. Warrant issued  May 16 and bond set at $5,000 cash only.

May 21 – Deputy took theft report on Cheyenne Drive in Twin Oaks Harbor. Ruby Parson reported damage to a shed and several items missing from inside. Items missing include: a window air conditioner, trampoline, six purses, 10 large plastic tote boxes of holiday decorations, deep fryer, a man’s suit, black plastic truck type tool box and three handmade quilts. Total value of items including damage to the shed estimated at $1,805.

May 23 – Deputy arrested Ricky Collins, 33, Lowry City, on warrant from Andrew County for failing to appear in court on class D felony charge of non support. Bond set at $750 cash only.

Deputy took a theft report on NE 800 Rd. Robert Bray reported a Viking kayak missing from his property. Value of kayak estimated at $250.

St. Clair County warrant  issued for Chad Cooper, 26, Oak Grove, charging him with class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, class A misdemeanor resisting or interfering with arrest, and class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Bond set at $2,500 cash or surety.

Charges stem from an investigation May 20 when St. Clair County deputy responded to a call of an individual possibly driving while intoxicated on NE 175 Rd. Vehicle located at the end of the road near the water and contact was made with Cooper. During investigation it was determined Cooper was intoxicated. While taking him into custody, Cooper pulled away from the deputy and attempted to run away.  Missouri Department of Conservation agent on scene assisted as he continued to resist. Bag containing green leafy substance consistence with the look and smell of marijuana                                     located in Cooper’s possession.

Criminal summons issued for James Taylor, 51, Lowry City, charging him with class B misdemeanor peace disturbance. Charge stems from investigation  May 17 when a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Kristopher Miller regarding  incident that occurred at the junction of Main and Third Streets, Lowry City. Miller reported Taylor pulled up to his vehicle and began yelling and using profane language toward him in the presence of two juveniles.

May 24 – Timothy Long, 58, Collins, arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class B felony driving while intoxicated-chronic offender and class D felony driving while suspended. Bond set at $15,000 cash or surety.
