BUCKLE BUDDY VISITS ROSCOE SCHOOL – On Sept. 19 Buckle Buddy made visits to students at Roscoe, Osceola, Appleton City and Lakeland Schools in conjunction with Child Passenger Safety Week. St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Detective Jarrod Sherrer and School Resource Office Brad Saddoris escorted Buckle Buddy to the area schools to teach about seat belt safety.
The program was designed to be educational, interactive and fun. Students learned about booster seats and safety belts. They learned the “Buckle Buddy Song”, read the “Buckle Buddy Story” and students received an activity book and stickers to take home.
Jail Nurse Dawn Jones, McDonald County Health Department Public Health Educator Brandy Smith and Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission Regional Planner Cyndee Schmidt assisted with the presentation.
