HISTORY BOWL TEAM COMPETES

HISTORY BOWL TEAM COMPETES – On Friday, Dec. 6, a History Bowl team from El Dorado Springs High School competed at the Marion C. Early Field House in Morrisville.  The competition was fierce with 40 Junior High and High School teams from across Southwest Missouri taking part.  Only four of those forty teams outscored our team from El Dorado Springs which consisted of Ethan Roberts, Gavin Ring, Megan Griffin, Jake Cooper, and Ryan Griffin.  There were thirteen rounds of 10 questions each throughout the competition.  The categories included: Ancient Mesopotamia, World War II, Civil War, Great Depression, Holocaust, U.S./World Geography, Major Ancient Battles, Medieval Europe, Enlightenment Thinkers, Checks and Balances, Missouri History/Geography, The War on Terror, and the National Football League (in honor of the 100th anniversary of the NFL.) All of the students had a great time and are already looking forward to going back again next year to try to finish in the top three.
